Womyn's Center

The Womyn's Center is an integral part of the university's liberal arts mission and functions to ensure moral responsibility and value development by focusing on the issues, needs and concerns affecting students, faculty and staff that are women and gender minorities.

We are committed to building safe, inclusive, learning environments for all students, faculty, staff and the Springfield community regardless of one's gender, sexual orientation, nationality, age, race, class, ability status, or religion.

The Womyn’s Center is located on the first floor of Shouvlin, room 103. Students are welcome to drop by during open hours to watch TV, study on the couch, read from our feminist library, or bring a group and play one of our board games. Our feminist library stays current on popular texts and we subscribe to the magazines Ms., Mother Jones, and Bitch. Weekly hours and weeknight activities are advertised through 25 live and on the Womyn’s Center social media accounts.

The Womyn’s Center has emergency items available for students on campus, including condoms, dental dams, pregnancy tests, and feminine hygiene products. These items can be found on the resource table outside the Womyn’s Center.
