Destination ֱ: New Student Orientation
Destination ֱ is a required New Student Orientation program that helps first-time freshmen and transfer students begin to acclimate to life as a ֱ scholar. This one-day program begins with check-in from 8:15-8:45 a.m. and concludes by 4:30 p.m.
The program is designed to help students begin to make connections with their peers and learn valuable information about academics and student life at ֱ. Students and families will attend sessions with ֱ faculty and staff to learn about campus resources.
Destination ֱ Commitment:
- Introduce students to ֱ services that will support their educational and personal goals.
- Allow students to gain awareness of the academic advising system and gain a connection to faculty advisors.
- Help students become familiar with the ֱ campus community and reaffirm their decision to attend ֱ.
- Answer outstanding questions about the transition to ֱ and outline expectations for students.
