ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ requires all international students to be automatically enrolled into our International Student Insurance plan, which is estimated to cost between $800-900 per year and will cover you while you are a student. Medical costs are very high in the U.S. and there is no national healthcare. If you should have an accident or need to go to a hospital, even a few days stay can cost you thousands of dollars.
However, if you are already covered by an existing insurance plan, the ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ insurance can be waived. You must, however, prove equivalent coverage at or above these minimum levels:
- Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness
- Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000
- Expenses associated with the medical evacuation to home country in the amount of $50,000
- Deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness
If you wish to waive the insurance, you will need to provide proof of the required coverage above in English.
Note: Insurance through ISEP is acceptable for ISEP students.
