Psychology majors at ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ have a wide array of academic and career interests. Consistent with ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥'s mission and values, many students seek vocations that will be of service to others. Psychology students are often interested in pursing a career in the mental health field, including clinical psychology, social work, counseling, school psychology, art therapy, and psychiatry.
A number of majors and minors are working towards other health care careers, such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, and nursing. Psychological research (e.g., cognitive, behavioral neuroscience, social), law, business, criminal justice and education are the focus for others. It is not uncommon for psychology students to have a double major or one or two minors, which are often in biology, business, sociology, communication, and art.
