Elizabeth Hainrihar serves as Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥. Prior to her appointment at ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥, Hainrihar was a faculty member at Capital University where she conducted Cantabile and taught conducting coursework. A devoted educator, she spent over a decade as a choir director in the Ohio public schools.

In addition to teaching and conducting, Hainrihar enjoys an active schedule as a choral clinician, collaborative pianist, and adjudicator. Her sessions on music literacy, choral intonation, and rehearsal strategies have been presented or co-presented at Ohio Music Education Association conferences. An avid supporter of Ohio’s professional music organizations, Hainrihar serves as Membership Chair for the Ohio Choral Directors Association.

Hainrihar was a University Fellow in Conducting at the Ohio State University, where she studied with Robert Bode, Kristina Caswell MacMullen, and Robert Ward. While at OSU, she conducted the Women’s Glee Club, Symphonic Choir, and Chorale, and taught coursework in conducting and choral sight-reading. She holds the Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Bowling Green State University, the Master of Music degree in Conducting from Kent State University, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Ohio State University. She joined the ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ faculty in 2023.
