Why ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥: “I chose ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ because at the time when deciding where to go, I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and experience a different environment than what I was used to. The deciding factor was getting to see what ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥had to offer, not only in terms of the community but also education as I was set on what I wanted to study beforehand.
- CMYK Design Hat: A hat designed by my advisor who helped me explore new avenues on how to further my creative exploits.
- MK Tournament Trophy and Medal: I won the first-place medal by participating in a Parkhurst Dining tournament in the CDR where I remained undefeated. It reminds me of freshman year in the dorms, meeting new people I otherwise wouldn't have talked to in any other setting.
- Sculpture made before COVID Hit: It serves as a reminder to keep on going and venturing outside of your niche. Being a 2D-centered artist, 3D work is far from my specialty, but I've made something to be proud of nonetheless. I sculpted and painted this in Professor Scott Dooley's 3D Design class.
- Thesis Poster: This is a culmination of what I've learned with direction from professors Alejandra Gimenez-Berger, Elena Dahl, and Crispin Prebys, just to name a few. The whole exhibit is on display in Thompson Gallery up until graduation.
- Untitled Painting: This is an abstract painting I made the semester I moved out of the dorms. It was an experiment before truly finding out what medium I wanted to pursue in the future.
- Laptop and Drawing Tablet: These represent my work as a digital imaging student and the transition I made from pencil and paper to more professional materials. After graduation, these will be the same tools I'll use to get me through grad school at CCAD.
